Melissa J. Cooper
Melissa was born and raised in Colorado. Her love for art began
at an early age. She has been an established artist since 1990. Her work
is exhibited in Vail, Colorado at the Cogswell Gallery; Breckenridge Gallery,
Breckenridge; Evergreen Fine Art, Evergreen; Gallerie Kornye West, Fort Worth,
TX; Meyer-Munson Gallery, Santa Fe, NM.
Melissa's body of work consists of mostly wildlife sculpture and reflects
her love for nature. She is self-taught and was influenced greatly by her
parents who are both established artists. Melissa has always had a love
for art. Whether it is wildlife or figurative, she has a natural ability
to capture the spirit of life and emotion in each of her sculptures. Her
pieces range from desktop to larger than life in size. Melissa has also
completed several commission pieces. She has also won awards for her sculpture
which are, as follows:
